Coolum Christian College

This Sunshine Coast School conducted a full energy audit to consider the savings by installing an energy management system, a solar pv system and power factor correction on their college buildings.

Coolum Beach Christian College (CBCC) has a high level of environmental sustainability when it comes to water and energy use on campus. Clean, green energy is supplied through a 80kW off grid solar system that produces 25% of the College’s energy requirements and reduces carbon emissions and electricity use.

With annual savings of approximately $12,700 per year, the equipment and installation has a return on investment of 3 years.

The use of clean technologies has helped build a school that is beautiful, practical, provides a learning environment that engages with nature, has reduced energy and water use and has greatly reduced operating costs.
